Bizspace is one of the UK's leading providers of managed workspace, offering flexible property licensing or leasing solutions to the SME market. They own and manage in excess of 7.5 million square feet of office space, in 110 different buildings across the UK.
The company provides a wide range of flexible accommodation for businesses requiring anything form serviced offices, to workshop and industrial space, to storage facilities, virtual offices and meeting rooms.
With a single payment, which includes most of the costs associated with occupying commercial premises, Bizspace removes the burden of mundane property matters allowing businesses to focus on getting on with business.
Bizspace’s website was intended to be one of the key drivers of the business, as this is where anyone with a flexible accommodation requirement would come to, and research if their specific requirement could be met.
The management team at Bizspace was, however, disappointed with the sites performance – both in term of traffic being generated, and the levels of actual on- site conversion.
They absolutely recognized the vital importance of search for the future success of the business, in what was becoming an increasingly competitive landscape. A further threat that was presented was the growing dominance of broker websites, who were starting to colonize the natural search rankings in Google.
WRS were briefed to overhaul their entire Search strategy, and implement changes to the website itself, in order to improve conversion rates and therefore drive real revenues to the business.
From a customer perspective, Search Engines, and of course specifically Google, would be the normal entry point to research business accommodation.
A keyword research study was carried out to create an inventory of phrases that related directly to the services that Bizspace could offer.
This was then combined with a location overlay, so that a customer looking for accommodation in, for example, Halifax, would find the respective Bizspace unit high in the natural search listings.
Optimizing around keywords and locations specifically relevant to Bizspace’s portfolio proved to be immediately successful.
Within the first ten weeks of the project, WRS succeeded in securing over 850 localized searches for Bizspace on either page 1 or 2 of Google.
This had an immediate impact on the growth of their on-line tenants business – not just in terms of an increased level of enquiries but actual conversion into rent paying tenants.
WRS are continuing their work with Bizspace to further cement their local search spread and rankings.
